Basically there is a new acceptance process on the Horizon system that the post offices use to book parcels in. This new system has been created to make this process easier and quicker for the post office.

Unfortunately the old process is still on the Horizon system which is causing some confusion with some post offices. This is due to come off the system at some point this month but we have not been advised of a date.

All post offices would have been made aware of this new process and the Global direct service in their last branch focus which would have been sent out at the beginning of December

On the main screen on Horizon the post offices would have previously selected post mail items but the new process is that post office must select business suite . This is only for contract acceptance so for customers who come in and they already have their labels.

The post office will then have to click PFWW contract acceptance which would then display all of the services.

The post office would then select Global direct. Then the label is printed and that is all they have to do.

Previously post office would have to weigh the parcel etc but post office no longer need to weight the parcel.

Global direct will be shown on the label of the parcel
